messy bun ♥
New school year starting & looking to 're-invent' yourself? Have no fear, cause Tiera's here to help! These hairstyles can be easily done with time, practice, & patience. With those things & the right products, your hair will be looking fabulous in no time!

**I also have a partner, Juliet, otherwise known as PolyvoreTipGirl♥ (: I'm so excited to be working with her!

Style idea #1; Messy bun (for those days where you're going for simplicity)

O1. If needed, use a light/light amount of no frizz serum, like from Garnier Fructis' or Herbal Essences' line.

O2. Tease your hair by taking a fine toothed comb or a brush and combing it back at the top so that your hair is teased backwards.
O3. Take your hair and put it in a high ponytail, smoothing out any stray hairs while moving your hair upwards to the crown.

O4. You can then secure the hair with an elastic (tie elastic in the center of the circle or wrap the elastic twice around the hair and pull the ponytail through), pull the hair into the ponytail & backcomb it/lightly spray, or comb hair back and make a double bun (Pull bun into a low ponytail, then make a bun out of that one and tie with elastic).

O5. Now that you've got the bun you want, style it up! You can leave a couple strands loose around the sides, add a clip/flower/etc, straighten your bangs and pin them back, accessorize with a cute headband or beanie! & Voila! ♥

tip 13 ; get a soft, bouncy bob! ♥

tip 13 ; get a soft, bouncy bob! ♥
Want a soft, bouncy bob that plays up your cute, romantic side? I'm here to help!
*From Seventeen magazine, not plagiarized.
O1. You know to shampoo, condition, and detangle as usual. Also protect hair from heat with a serum or spray!
O2. Divide damp strands into four-inch sections, then blow dry with a round brush. Blow dry with a cool blast setting for five seconds while keeping hair on the brush.
O3. After blow drying, flip your head over and blow against the roots for volume!
» For all face types, a side part would work. For oval shaped faces, let the bangs hit at the brows to give dimension to a long face. For round faces, thin out the layers to slim the face. For square faces, lengthen the bangs to round out facial angles. Finally, for heart shaped faces, go shorter to add fullness to your narrow chin.

Hope I helped! Type 'over' if you read it all.

tip 12 ; get defined layers ♥
Want those sleek defined layers like Carrie Underwood has? I'm here to help!

*From Seventeen magazine, not plagiarized.

O1. You know to shampoo, condition, and detangle as usual.

O2. Finger comb lightweight serum or straightening creme through damp hair. Create a party and using a round brush, blow dry hair on cool or medium heat. Curve the brush under to define layers.

O3. After blow drying, protect hair with heat protection spray or serum, then begin flat ironing!

» Get more definiton by using a flat iron with teeth, like from Conair, which is available at a variety of grocery stores.

»For oval shaped faces, create a middle part and go for layers that begin from under the chin to create a rounder face.

» For square faces, A side part and layers below the jawline are a good idea.

» For round faces, make a middle part and light layers at the crown.

»For heart shaped faces, create a middle part and layer hair around the cheekbones to minimize the widest part of your face.

tip 11 ; quick hair tips ♥

tip 11 ; quick hair tips ♥
Here's some quick hair tips to keep it looking great!

*From Seventeen magazine, not plagiarized!

♥ Eliminate frizz by making a hair mask from fruits! Bananas and cantaloupes defrizz strands and paired with olive oil, keeps hair smooth. Mix 1/2 banana, 1/2 cantaloupe, 2 tbsp plain yogurt, and 1 tbsp olive oil in a blender. Apply mixture to unwashed, damp hair and comb from root to tips. Leave on for 15-2O minutes then rinse completely. Shampoo and condition hair as usual.

♥ Boost your color with coffee! Brew some nonflavored coffee and let it cool. In the sink or shower, pour enough coffee over dry hair until hair is soaked, then comb through. Cover your head with a shower cap and let rinse set for 2O-3O minutes. Rinse, shampoo, condition, and do one final rinse with cold water to maximize shine.

♥ Fix split ends! Combine 1 can of coconut milk, 1 mashed avocade, and 1/2 cup of honey in a bowl. Slather onto dry hair and let sit with plastic cap on. Blow dry for 5 minutes, then let mask soak in for 3O more minutes. Rinse well and style as usual.

♥ Stimulate the scalp! Massage scalp weekly or bi weekly to increase blood flow and growth! You can use olive oil, coconut oil, or jojoba oil to massage in, then shampoo.

♥ Take vitamins! Omega 3 Fish Oil pills work WONDERS for hair growth. They are pretty big and taste nasty, but your hair will thank you in the long run! These are also good if you don't have the best eating habits, to provide you with nutrients you need.

♥ Trim it! Trip split ends every 6 weeks. In between trims, maintain with leave in conditioner so they don't get worse.

♥ Destroy dandruff! A copper bristled brush gets rid of dandruff causing bacteria and a shampoo with zinc keeps hair follicles healthy.

♥ Protect it! Before using heat tools, always spray hair down with a nice heat protectant spray or coat it in a heat protective serum to keep hair from frying.

♥ Undo the damage! Deep condition hair (with a hair mask like Neutrogena's) for at least 1O minutes. Do this two times a week for the first month, then down to once a week.

♥ Don't wash everyday, this dries your hair out.

♥ Let hair air dry after shampooing & conditioning. You can let it dry for the most part, then blow dry on low heat. A diffuser is also helpful! Do not twist hair dryer back and forth, go straight up and down smoothly. Also, do not flip head over to get the back of your head since this hurts the hair roots.

♥ To get flowing waves, curl hair around the barrel of your curling iron and avoid the clamp! Then use a volumizing spray to keep them bouncy. Shake ends of hair to loosen curls.

♥ To keep curly hair curly, apply a quarter sized amount of mousse into the hair, finger comb, scrunch a bit and you're ready!

♥ Instead of rubbing hair after you watch it, towel blot it!

♥ Dry your hair with an old t-shirt, this reduces frizz. Take the bottom of the tshirt and put, like, the front flap on your head, lay it down like a cap and take hair into the shirt, twist shirt around and bring twisted shirt to the front to tuck into the front of the shirt.

♥ Get your shine on! Apply a light serum to the hair before blow drying, then skip a day before flat ironing. Squeeze serum onto fingertips for even distribution.

♥ Flat iron bangs to curl under for the perfect sideswept effect.

♥ No time to wash in the morning? Take a sweet smelling dry shampoo, like from Tresemme, scrunch into dry hair and blot off excess foam.

♥ Got split ends? Use argan oil as a deep conditioner to prevent and undo damage! Do once a week after washing and leave on for ten minutes.

♥ Drink water! Make sure you get at least 6-8 glasses of water a day!

♥ Catch those z's! Your hair, like your body, needs 8 hours of rest to remain healthy.

♥ Protect your hair against UV filters by using a styling gel like L'Oreal Professional Serie Expert Solar Sublime Shimmer Protect Gelee.

♥ Use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners to avoid stripping your hair of its nutrients and color.

♥ Use heat! At the salon, stylist put you under the dryer to open up the hair's cuticle so ingredients can penetrate. Do this at home by using some leave in conditioner, popping on a shower cap, and blow drying.

♥ De-gunk! Use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to get rid of nasty buildup.

♥ Comb correctly! Use a wide tooth comb or paddle brush on dry hair.

♥ Go ionic! Ionic tools like flat irons and hair dryers prevent against frizz and flyaways and give hair a beautiful sheen!

♥ Eat right! Foods with vitamin E in them keep hair nice and shiny! Try incorporating sunflower seeds, wheat germ, pine nuts, sun dried tomatoes, and almonds into your dietary habits.

♥ Rinse hair with cold water after shampooing and conditioning. A final blast from your hair dryer on its cool setting gives hair a boost.

♥ Squeeze! After shampooing, thoroughly wring hair out before conditioning. If your hair is soaking wet, it can't soak up the conditioners ingredients and it won't do what it's supposed to.

♥ To get shiny, voluminous hair, look for products that indicate that they're weightless or lightweight

♥ Before showering, apply a golf ball sized amount of hair treatment to your hair and wrap it into a bun. Leave on until end of shower, then rinse.

♥ Use a mask with a good fragrance to leave hair smelling sweet.

♥ Instead of using elastics with a metal clamp that can snag your hair, use soft elastics.

♥ Instead of using a mega hold gel, use gel cream that allows your hair to stay soft.. not sticky and crunchy like regular gel.

♥ Instead of a plastic brush, use one with boar bristles which better distributes the hair's natural oils, resulting in soft hair.
Hope thiis helped! Type 'babe' if you read it all (:

tip 1O; the razored bob ♥
Need a new curly hairdo for school, a date, or just wanna try something different? Try this razored bob that's easy to make and even easier to maintain!

*From Seventeen Magazine; not stolen!

O1. Remember to wash, condition, and if you want to, detangle it. Let air dry.
O2. Use a regular or clamp free iron (use a glove) and hold vertically as you wrap 2 inch strands around the barrel, alternating directions each time.
O3. Use a light alcohol free mousse or pomade and rub it between your hands and twisting small sections of hair to create hold and separation.

--If you wanna keep it maintained throughout your day at school, if and ONLY IF you have spare time on your hands, bring your curling iron, take a visit to the bathroom and quickly wrap strands of hair around it for about 30 seconds.

» Hint; Forever 21 has a mini curling iron from Conair that is perfect for taking to school! It heats up in 30 seconds, comes in a cute carrying pouch and is small and compact enough to fit in your purse! Great deal, if you ask me (:

» Extra tips; If you've got a heart shaped face, keep hair cut to the jawline to round out your chin.

Oval faces; Tapered ends add width around the face.

Square faces ; Bring ends of the hair inward and longer than the jawline.

Round faces ; Have layers that hit at the neck and bangs to bring out the angles in your face.

Hope I helped! Type 'alejandro' if you read it all!

tip 9 ; decorate your locker! ♥

tip 9 ; decorate your locker! ♥
Don't want one of those boring old metal lockers at school? Ready to jazz yours up for the year! I'm here to help!
*Don't do this if your school doesn't allow locker decorating. If you're unsure if your school allows it or not, then check with the principal. If it's not allow, don't go against the rules.
1) First, decide on your locker theme. Do you want it to be girly, sporty, or beachy? Once you decide on a theme, then you can begin shopping for the things you'll need!
2) You should start with the staples. This usually includes a mirror, a shelf, a magnetic cup holder, and a dry erase board. If you don't want these in your locker, that's fine, they're just suggestions and also good ways to keep organized. If you do, try to pick out a nice color combo for the items if you can.
3) Then, bring in the items that appeal to you. If you locker allows stickers, then put those up, but remember that someone else will be using your locker next year. A boy wouldn't appreciate butterfly and star stickers in his new locker, so those wouldn't exactly be a good idea. With some locker decoration sets come little magnets (they also come separately) which you can use to hang up pictures and notes.
4) Make use of your staples. Write down assigments and events on your dry erase board.
5) Decorate your mini mirror if you want!
6) Make enough room for your books and if possible, your backpack. If you have a half locker, it's not a good idea to try to jam your bag in there. It is a place for storage of school items before anything else!
